What Medication Is Suggested For Bed Wetting?

I have twin boys, they are 6 yrs old. I am white, their father was american indian from the Sioux reservation. They are still peeing the bed at night. I know american indians have a lot more trouble with bladder control and holding their pee for a long time because of the cultural issues where they are not used to holding their pee and waiting for a bathroom because indians released their pee outside whenever they wanted.

But I need help, I know indian kids can eventually learn to control their pee and hold it all night. I just need to know how to help them learn and get around the, limitations from their indian genetics. They are lucky otherwise, they do not have diabetes like most indians and are in good health.

Hi,
Thank you for asking question on health care magic.
normally children develop bladder control by 4-5 years.
If they have not had bladder control even at 6 years, they need some form of treatment.
Withholding fluids after 7 P.M. in the evening,Waking them in the night once or twice to pass urine.
Do not punish them or chide them specially in front of others.
Do not discuss this problem in front of others.
Appreciate them or compliment then if they are dry sometime.
Imipramine hydrochloride may be tried 25 mg/kg body weight at bed time 6-8 weeks help in gaining bladder control.
Hope this answer will serve your purpose
