What Makes One Feel More Thirsty Even After Drinking Water?

I am feeling zoned out, tired and very thirsty despite a lot of water. I have been tested for electroylte imbalance (a tiny bit low in sodium, but nothing major) and my kidney function is normal. I have never been borderline for diabetes and have no family history in this respect. I do have PKD, which up till now has been asymptomatic, and undertstand that I have several liver cysts. But, as I say, my creatinine levels are normal. I am rather worried.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello
i share your concern
since you are not diabetic and kidney is functioning well
it could be diabetes insipidus or psychogenic polydipsia

in my opinion you should consult a nephrologist for urine osmolality test
if it comes normal and problem persists i would advise you to consult a psychiatrist for behavioural therapy

If you can upload me your reports I will be able to help you better
thanks for your question
wishing you good health
regards
I find this answer helpful
