What Is The Use Of Ebexid Tablets While Suffering From High Prolactin And TSH Levels?
my doctor has prescribed for ebexid. I have my prolactin high issue I take regular proctional 1.25mg at night. I had done my prolactin test & TSH post lunch it indicated high again to recheck i did empty stomach it was normal. Pls inform as why doctor has prescribed ebexid. I have gain weight also. do i hv thriod problem

Ebexid Tablet is mostly used as a dietary supplement for hypothyroidism. It is a type of vitamin that is used as a medication.
You have Hyperprolactinemia and you had a high TSH result (as you mention). At the other side, you have weight gain that can be a symptom of hypothyroidism.
This can be the reason why your doctor prescribed Ebexib, a medication for hypothyroidism.
Anyway, if you were my patient, to clarify your actual thyroid gland situation and to answer if you have a thyroid problem, I will suggest to repeat (in a certified laboratory)the TSH test(because you have two different results) and to do even other necessary tests Ft3, fT4, anti TPO tests. These results will definitively clarify if you have thyroid problem/condition or not and if you need a medication for this condition.
