Diabetologist 's  Response
Dear Madam,
The problem your husband is facing is not due to diabetes. It is due to prostratic hypertrophy which is very common in males. Generally they have urgency to pass urine, urine flow initiation takes time, stream of urine in less and feel they have not voided completely. Please consult an urologist with Ultrasound KUB with residual volume report. He may start with drugs like tamsulosin. If the hypertrophy is severe and doesnt respond to medical treatment then TURP surgery is a better alternative.
Please feel free to get back with any queries..
