What Is The Treatment For Thyroid Symptoms?
Just had an US non-vascular of thyroid. Report says that an inhomogeneous parenchyma with 5 x 4 mm left lobe cyst. Had approx. 1/3 to 1/2 thyroid removed in 1988 due to tumor size of baseball anchored from thyroid and lying on the aorta. Am having many thyroid symptoms.......always cold( I live in AZ) wt problems, tired, difficulty sleeping,etc. Am just changing to new dr, internal medicine. HAve been told that TSH is low, presently on .150 of thyroxine.

As per what you have described you have taken good decision and have been started on right medication with adequate dosage.
I would like to advice you that you take thyroxine 150mcg for 4 weeks and repeat your thyroid profile again and see whether there is improvement or not. I feel there will be considerable improvement in report values and your symptoms too.
If after 4 weeks of tsking the medication there is no improvement or worsening then you can think of consulting an endocrinologist.
But i feel you will improve with the medication started and won't need to see specialist.
