I have accidently forgotten to take my thyroid medication for about 5 days now. I do not feel so good. Very tired, lower legs and feet are very swollen also my hands. My body aches..Could these symptoms possibly be from the lack of the thyroid in my system? I can not get my prescription until Tuesday and I just realized that these symptoms that I am experiencing could be from the lack of that particular medicine. Honest mistake and boy my body sure is not happy with me for the past week. Concerned and worried.
HI I DONT THINK YOU NEED TO BE WORRIED.THYROID MEDICATIONS HAVE RELATIVELY LONG HALF LIFE AND IT TAKES AT LEAST 15-20 DAYS FOR YOUR BODY TO SHOW SYMPTOMS IF YOU HAVE NOT TAKEN TABLETS. BUT I WILL ADVISE YOU TO TAKE THYROID MEDICINES REGULARLY IN FUTURE AND I ASSURE YOU THAT YOU WILL REMAIN HEALTHY. HOPE MY OPINION HAS CLEARED YOUR DOUBTS THANKS DR PRANAY BUDKULE
