What Is The Treatment For This CT Scan Report?
Hi Dr, I have a CT scan results with the following findings: Atelectasis of the left lung with marked pleural effusion, Koch s infiltrates in the left upper lobe, Consider left perihilar and paracardiac lymphadenopathy. Cannot rule out parenchymal nodules. Hepatic cysts are of benign characteristics. Clinical Details- Recurrent pleural effusion. What would be the cause? Suggest any possible treatment coz pt has been taking TB Treatment for 3months but no improvement still.

The anti-tubercular treatment (ATT) is a long term treatment. Response to treatment is indicated by negative sputum smear and clearance of pulmonary infiltrates. I suggest you to consult your treating doctor to evaluate the response to ATT. In case, you are not responding to first line drugs, second line drugs may have to be started.
