What Is The Treatment For Swelling In The Nose?

During severe cold and nasal blocade I had to take XYLOMETAZOLINE HYDROCHLORIDE Nasal solution followed by AZITHROMYCIN 500 tabs twice daily. Today I took he last one.Now my nose is swollen, paining and feeling fever also. I feel the nose very much irritated.I am an Asthmatic patient taking Seroflo 250 and Tiova inhaelers regularly.I am suffering from frequent nasal blockade many nights I struggle to sleep.Ultimately I take antibiotic and the last one prescribed by my doctor was CLAVAm 625.General health is fine and I don t have problem with any medicine. Now my question is shall I take CLAVAM 625 for the swollen nose as my last AZITHROMYCIN 500 finished today.

Hi,

Please don't take Xylometazoline for more than one week. It won't work for more than 1 week. Start taking Fluticasone spray 2 puff at bedtime for 1 month. It will decrease the allergic inflammation of the nose. Take saline nasal spray Solspre. It will clear the allergic mucus of the nose. Take both these spray for at least 1-2 months. Take steam inhalation. Do yoga or nasal breathing exercises.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
