Hi I woke up a the beginning of the week with a almost completely bloody eye. Looks like a broken blood vessel again. It happened in my left eye 5 weeks ago too. Its been almost a week looked like it was starting to dissipate but now it is somewhat achy and seems to be getting red and bloody looking again? I do not have high blood pressure, or diabetes. Have not had a cold, or cough, any suggestions seeing my primary physician this Friday!
Hello It seems from the history that you are having subconjunctival hemorrhage because of broken blood vessel. Though subconjunctival hemorrhage is seen because of injury or in diabetes or hypertension or in bleeding diseases, spontaneous subconjunctival hemorrhage is seen frequently. It resolves by itself and does not require treatment. It will resole over 3-6 weeks. If the condition is recurrent or not resolving need yo consult ophthalmologist for examination and treatment accordingly.
Thank you
