What Is The Treatment For Red Painful Spot On Thigh?

Hi...my daughter just called me and she was showering and had a sharp pain in her thigh, and when she looked down she watched it bruise. It is about the size of a baseball. She also developed a small area on her neck where there is a red spot with a ring around it. What should I tell her to do??

Hi,

The bruised spot on thigh of your daughter may be localised vasculitis. And she also developed similar lesion on neck also. I think, you should consult dermatologist without delay. After thorough examination and investigations, he may give proper treatment. Antibiotics, steroids and vitamin C may be given by him. If there some cause is found, that may be treated. Your daughter may be alright. I hope you got my answer.

Thanks.
