My wife is 43 and wakes up in the night and thinks she smells burnt toast. She may be going through menapause, wakes up in the middle of the night with her heart pounding strongly, or has a head rush. Has family history of heart disease and a posssible autoimune problem. Sometimes she hears a swooshing noise in her ear. She also has memory loss during flare ups. She does not drink, smoke, drugs and not over wieght.
