What Is The Treatment For Pain In Hands?

Hello, I have a 30 year old daughter. I just found out she has been shooting up meth. She has been having severe pain in both hands. It started about a week ago. She said she has shot up in both arms but mostly just one arm. I'm sure she is using dirty needles. Her hands are not swollen or warm to touch. But she is in bed with severe bil. hand pain

Difficult to say. You are quite correct in considering and assessing the risks of infections. Some infections might be deep in and not show signs. That is not the common situation and indeed I have seen it only very rarely with chronic bone infection and those were not drug abuse related (rheumatoid arthritis patients). Drug abuse infections tend to be VERY noticeable.

Then, meth changes the blood circulation. There can be gangrene produced by it but that is rapid and noticeable. On the other hand, it can also change the tone of nerves and blood vessels. This follows particular patterns. The change in the circulation would be associated with VISIBLE changes of the color of the affected area. Nerve pain is generally in a particular pattern based on where the nerve goes and the pain tends to be like a nerve....electrical, shooting, sometimes with temperature sensations.
