What Is The Treatment For Mild Bronchiectasis In Lung?

I had the swine flu in 2009. I have had mild asthma like symptoms since[persistant clearing of throat, crackly wheeze breathing and feeling of tightness in the throat in humid conditions. Xray showed mild bronciectasis upper left lung [sorry about the spelling] I also had a bronchoscopy which showed tracheomalacia. No heart, thyroid or reflux problems[all been tested]. I was treated for asthma initially- inhalers etc. I am on no medication right now and the mild symptoms are exactly the same as post swine flu 2009. Is there any information available of people like me??

Hi,

Bronchiectasis is an irreversible mild enlargement of the terminal airways. You need not worry if you have the mild condition. There is no treatment required but protect yourself from cold infections. Stop smoking if you are a smoker.
