What Is The Treatment For Loose Stools?

My six month old has had frequent runny stools that are green in color and have white chunks in it. He has at least 5 a day for the last 15 days. He had one episode of blood tinges stool while in the bathtub. He does not have diaper rash. All of his stool have mucus in them.

Hi,
Thank you for asking question on health care magic.
Loose stools are common during infancy.
If suppliment or change the breast feed with formula/milk cereal mixture alteration of color may occur.
Better get the the stool examined microscopically and if it is abnormal or suggests infective diarrhea you may consult the doctor for treatment.
Otherwise there is nothing to worry and at best you may give sporolac one sachet daily orally.
Hope this answer will serve your purpose
Please feel free to ask any more queries if required
Take care
