What Is The Treatment For Liver Cirrhosis?

Hello Sir, My brother 48 years old belongs to lucknow, non alcoholic, neither smoking nor any bad habbits.in December 2010 after swelling in stomach found that having the liver cirrhosis. presently the HCV virus was found around 6 Lacs viruses. can you please tell that any of the treatment is possible without transplant of liver because it is not effordable for us.

Hi thanks for contacting HCM...

Ultimate treatment for cirrhosis is liver transplantation...
If it is not affordable then less invasive procedure can be done to reduce portal hypertension like TIPSS like shunt placement....

For portal hypertension if needed beta blocker can be used...
If edema and ascites present then low salt diet taken....
Diuretic helpful in ascites...

Grined spinach and carrot juice taken daily early in morning..

Beet roots, papaiya , turmeric roots, Indian gooseberry , golden seal , dandelion etc good food for liver....
