What Is The Treatment For Initial Stage Breast Cancer?

a 45-year-old woman is receiving a ‘combined modality' treatment for the initial stage of breast cancer. what are the 2 possible treatments that she will receive and also what is the methods by which a radiation oncologist can administer these therapies.

hi, I think my combine you mean chemotherapy and radiation after a initial surgery.

this involves adminiteration of chemotherapy after surgery, followed by radiation.

If you meant combined radiation therapy, then it will be meaning givinng radiation to the tumour bed with extra boost to initial tumour location.

Exact details of procedure will be beyond the scope of this public forum discussion.

However breast cancer treatment will be further need to define based on the hormone status of the tumour
