ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hello

the eustachian tube( tube between the ear and nose ) may get blocked while you are lying down, especially when you have cold and this maybe the reason for your pain. please use oxymetazoline drops , 2 drops in your nose before lying down and take steam inhalation at night, it will reduce the congestion and prevent the eustachian tube from closing.

take care!
