I have read your query and I can understand your problem. In a lot of individuals significant life event may aggravate the risk of depression. In some the symptoms usually go in about 6 months but in others they may persist and may result in full blown depressive disorder. The symptoms like lack of interest in anything, confusion of mind could be due to depression. I would suggest you to visit a Psychiatrist for evaluation of symptoms. Cognitive behaviour therapy will help in improving your situation and will also help in suppressing your bad memories. If psychosocial treatment don't work then medicinal treatment is needed.

What Is The Treatment For Extreme Depression?
Hello thanks for asking from HCM I have read your query and I can understand your problem. If psychosocial treatment don t work then medicinal treatment is needed. Medicines like SSRIs as Fluoxetine, Paroxetine etc have good results in depression. SNRIs are also used in severe depression. As these are prescription medicines so you need to consult a Psychiatrist for treatment. Thanks, hope this helps you
