Woke up 2 hours later with strong rapid heart beat (this has happened before but only slightly). Very Dizzy. In last year have had red blood in the bowels 3 times. Had Rhuematic Fever as a child (50 years ago). type II diabetes. Only medication is Metformin total 3 pills daily (500mg?). I have a positive nature - not anxious.

Hi welcome to HCM.
Rheumatic heart disease can be very troublesome if multisystem involvement is present.Rapid heart rate can be due to underlying arrhythmia.I advice you to have baseline EKG and electrophysiological study.Drugs like beta blockers can control the irregular heart rate. This can correct dizzy spells.Continue with metformin 500 mg.Ultrasound abdomen is strongly needed to evaluate bowel pains for possible role of infection.Consult your doctor for further care,
Thank you
