What Is The Treatment For Acute Groin Pain?

My 88 year old mother has developed acute groin pain in the last few days. It started with pain in her sacroiliac are but is now severe when she gets in and out of bed, in and out of a car as she cannot lift her leg by bending at her hip.
She has had a CT scan which did not show anything remarkable. Could she have a fracture in her pelvis or hip that has not shown up on the scan?

HI

Thanks for posting your query .

Yes even I am of the same impression that she might be having fracture of her hip . A CT scan done in abdomen region may not focus on the hip bone . So I advise you to get X ray of Pelvis and both Hip joints and femur and revert back .

Till then it's better for her not to walk around and take bed rest .

Any clarifications feel free to ask .
Happy to answer.
Regards.
