I would like to cont. working, but standing and sitting for long periods of time aggrevate my condition. Would taking advil 400mg daily cause long term side effects? Or do you have any other suggestions?

Hi,

Advil is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug commonly used for the symptomatic relief of pain and swelling associated with arthritis, muscle sprain, toothache and other conditions.

When used for long period of time it may cause dyspepsia, stomach ulcer, bleeding, and may reduce kidney functions. I suggest you to use paracetamol with or without codeine for the relief of pain.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali
