What Is The Treatment For A Missed Period?
Hi...am 24 yrs old and I have had unprotected sex several times but I had emergency pill before 72 hrs each time (thrice precisely). But I still haven t got my period...i have tested pregnancy test several times at a week s gap but all came out negative...and also during all this time I was sexually active though sperm wasn t put inside(apart from the times when sperm was put inside and I took emergency pill ). Its been more than one month. Please help...am so worried as both my guy and I aren t ready for a child right child now. Thanks alot.

I understand your problem.
However you have used the emergency pill too many times. It is meant to be used only in cases of emergency and is not to be used twice in the same menstrual cycle.
The reason for the delayed periods may be the emergency pills, ovarian cysts, stress or hormonal imbalance or pregnancy. Of these the pills are the most likely cause.
If there has been deposition of sperms inside, my best suggestion to you as of now is to use condoms from now on until you get your periods. Check to see if the prgnancy test has been done at least 3 weeks after last unprotected sexual episode irrespective of weather the pill was used or not. If it was done before 3 weeks then repeat it at the end of 3 weeks. If it is still negative just wait for 2-3 more weeks.
Do not get stressed as stress will further delay periods.
If still the periods continue to be absent, then you need to see your gynecologist and get evaluated for the cause.
