What Is The Side Effects Of Blood Tranfusion?

I have been having pain in the front section of my thigh for days now, feels like deep bruise but no colour, and now have had a nose bleed. 3 months ago I had a blood transfusion , 2 pints as I was severely anaemic , should I be worried or just put it down to one of those things?

The most common side effects to transfusion are fever, chills and urticaria. The most potentially significant reactions include acute and delayed haemolytic transfusion reactions and bacterial contamination of blood products. During the early stages of a reaction it may be difficult to ascertain the cause.
In case of chill and rigor it is advised to stop transfusion and give inj avil 2 cc stat and cover the patient with blanket.
Restart transfusion at a slower rate after chill and rigor stops.
