What Is The Side Effect Of Diphenhydramine On Type 1 Diabetes?

I wanted to know the effect of dipenhydramine on type 1 diabetes. I am a 30 year old woman, diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in Feb 2011 (but suffering with it since March 2009). I have had GI symptoms of unknown origin for the past four days. My temperature remains at 97.9 or below, but I have spells of nausea, abdominal discomfort, and what seem to be hot flashes.. My blood pressure, and pulse are normal. My blood sugars are relatively normal. But I began working night shift as a nurse two weeks ago and take sleeping pills to help me rest during the day. I have also been juicing almost every morning for the past month, and am concerned about the possiblity of a bezoar. I have never been diagnosed with gastroparesis. I am usually constipated, and must use teas, home remedies to produce bowel movements.

Hi,

Drowsiness, dizziness, constipation, stomach upset, blurred vision, or dry mouth, nose and throat are some of the side effects of taking the Diphenhydramine. Juicing can also cause some of these side effects since your body metabolism has changed. Juicing can be an unhealthy option and this could also be the reason for your insomnia. Kindly consider healthy ways of losing weight such as eating in smaller portions and mild to moderate physical exercise.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
