What Is The Remedy For High Sugar Level When On Oxycodine?

Hello, I have a history of COPD, high blood pressure, diabetes and high cholesterol. Within the last few months, i have been able to get my blood pressure under control, and my cholesterol is within normal limits. However my sugar has been consistently high and i can not figure it out. I have been to the dr., but they just keep increasing my meds. I am on the following meds, oxycodine, lipitor, tricor, baby aspirin, benacar, zetia, bystolc, ramipril, ambian, clonazepan, cyclobenzapzine, adviar, glimepiride, medtformin. I no longer need my inhalers for my COPD (soptted smoking several months ago), changed my diet, starting taking viatmins, and i feel better. But can not get the sugar under control. I checked all the meds, and a couple of them cause sugar levels to increase. In your personal opinion, do i really needs all of these meds? Thanks.

Hi
Regarding your blood sugar you are using glimepride and metformin But you have not informed the dose of these medicines or their frequency. Why you are using oxycodone is not clear. To control blood sugar the dose or frequency of medicine is increased and regular monitoring is required .Glimepride can be taken up to 8 mg per day and metformin can be taken up to 2400 mg per day depending on your sugar levels and tolerance.
So consult your physician or diabetologist ,who may help you with control of diabetes. Some times differert group of medicines are used or Insulin is required to control diabetes.
Oxycodone is a prescription drug used to alleviate pain But it is an addictive drug and may cause respiratory depression and you are stating you had a history of COPD. So consult your doctor regarding this and other medicines also.
Hope this clarifies your doubts
