What Is The Reason For The Discomfort In The Bones?

my husband is very sick. HE was up all night. He would get hot and sweat through his shirt and then really cold. He threw up three times and he is saying that his bones are hurting him. what should he be taking and is it the flu or should we go in to the doctors?
