What Is The Reason For Spotting During 18th Week Of Pregnancy?
Hi, I am 21 and am 18 weeks pregnant. I went to the bathroom this morning and noticed some bright red spotting when I wipe. I have been to the restroom to check many more times and spotting while wiping is continuous. My doctor is closed today because its Sunday but I m freaking out! What should I do?
Hello, I would be happy to help you with your question.
If your doctor is following you for prenatal care, and given the unpredictable events that occur during pregnancy, then they certainly have an "on-call" system that you should feel more than comfortable using!! That being said, while the bleeding is definitely concerning and should be checked out, after talking with your doctor, they might be comfortable with you coming in on Monday. At whatever point they recommend that you come in, make sure that they look at your cervix with an ultrasound.
I hope that this helps and good luck!
