What Is The Reason For Painful And Itching In Buttocks Crack Despite Using Hydrocortisone?

Hi I m a 25 yr old female. For the past week my butt crack had been itching No matter how much I cleaned & washed. Then one day it felt like I split it.Now it itches uncontrollably, its painful and I have these pencil eraser size bumps on there. I have tried hydrocortisone creams,a&d, & Vaseline nothing helps. This all started after I was treated with antibiotics for a bladder infection,which in turn gave me a yeast infection which was treated with diflucan & now this.could there b something else wrong here that s causing all this I just need relief I m so uncomfortable

Hi, thank you for posting.

I read very carefully your problem and I hope I can help you.

Applying buttocks, in your case is complicated with infection and allergy.
The treatment contain antibiotic and anti allergic oral medicines.

Generally to my patients, for skin infections I recommend Cefalexine 1g 2 pills twice a day, for 5-7 days.

Allergies are mainly treated with Cetirizine 10mg 1 pill a day, but don't use it every day. Use it only when it is necessary.
In grave allergy cases I recommend Prednisolon 25mg/2ml ampule intramuscular injection, 1 a day.

You should contact a dermatologist.
