What Is The Reason For Heavy Bleeding After Having Sex?

I gave birth 12 weeks ago to my 2nd child. Both births were SVD. 2nd degree tear first time, no tear 2nd.

I am breastfeeding and not on any contraception as yet and I haven't had a period since giving birth.

After having sex I am bleeding quite heavily. We have had sex once prior to this occasion and I did not bleed then.

What could be the cause of the bleeding?

Hello,
I have gone through your query and understood your concerns. First thing I want to mention is it is quite normal to have bleeding after coitus after delivery as you have not got the periods till now it may be your menstrual bleeding. But if you are having trauma due to hard coitus and lack of lubrication you will have the same thing. Wait and watch to get itself decreased and if it persists longer take tranexemic acid tablet and consult your treating doctor. Thank you.
