General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Meperate contains medroxy-progesterone acetate which is similar to the progesterone hormone naturally produced by the body. It regulates periods, stops irregular bleeding and helps with withdrawal bleeding in cases of amenorrhea which is known as unusual stopping of menstrual periods.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Zubayer Alam, General & Family Physician
