What Is The Procedure Of Discontinuing Panadeine Forte ?

I have been taking panadeine forte for 8 years. Up until end of June, I was taking 12-25 per day for my back.Since 1 july I wanted to get rid of them and have tapered to 3 x half tablets per day now. I have been at that level for 5 weeks.I now need to stop. What can I expect the symptoms to be from stopping and how long will they last. I want my mind back. Thanks

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

If you were using the medication to help with pain relief then the main symptom would be a return of the pain.

Panadeine is not associated with withdrawal symptoms. It is not in this category of medications.

You can completely discontinue the medication safely.

I hope this helps
