Hi,

Yes, according to your LMP your gestational age should be around 10 weeks one day. The possible causes of disparity in the gestational age are:
- After stopping the hormonal pills sometimes it will take time for regularization of hormonal levels. Due to this, there is possibility of delay in the ovulation leading to lesser gestational age
- With increasing age hormonal fluctuation can be noted affecting the ovulation
- According to your history, your BMT is 26, which is little more than normal. This can also affect hormonal levels and ovulation.

So because of these causes, though you got periods on 12th May, there is possibility for delay in ovulation and conception leading to lesser gestational age. Anyhow as now the fetal pole and yolk sac are normal, no need to worry much. But you have to be careful from now onward and have to take regular antenatal checkups, ultrasound examinations, blood investigations and progesterone supplements with the advice of your doctor. Wish you happy pregnancy.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Sree Gouri S. R., OBGYN
