What Is The Normal BPM Reading?

i am an 18 year old girl, my height is around 5'61/2" and i weigh around 115lbs, and i consider myself to be fairly healthy. however after finding out my resting bpm is 84 and reading that this is above average, should i worry?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Having 84 bpm (beats per minute) is absolutely normal. Normal heart rate is between 60 to 100 bpm in resting and therefore it is called resting hear rate. Even 40 to 60 resting bpm is considered normal in physically well trained people. Heart rate may increases during physical exercise, emotional state or even change with body posture.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

I can assure u that its pretty normal. Normal heart rate is from 60 to 100 , some people may have more other may have less but if it is in this range its normal. Yours is 84 which is pretty normal. this can go up or down during different times of the day which is very normal.
