I have been up for two nights with a dry cough. I don't seem to have any nasal drip but it feels like I have a lump in the center of my throat. After coughing so hard, I did seem to cough up something..um chunky.. I don't see to have any wheezing or mucus but when I swallow I feel the lump and a constant tickle to both ears. The more I cough, the drier my throat gets and the more I feel the lump.
Nothing to worry. Pharyngitis may lead to foreign body or sensation in throat. It may be associated with Eustachian tube dysfunction causing ear irritation. Use chlorhexidine gurgle at least thrice daily, steam inhalation, course of antibiotic (co-amoxyclav BD/Azithromycin OD), Anti Histaminic( Levo Cetrizine 5 Od). Hope get well soon.
