What Is The Life Expectancy In Women With Ovarian Tumours?
My aunt has jelly belly tumors along with what they are now saying is Krukenberg ovarian tumor. She has been to MD Anderson, and only known about this for two months. They are now telling her she will die, and to start hospice care. So we went from having surgery for the jelly belly tumors to oh yeah you are going to die. Is there any hope should she look for 2nd, 3rd, 5th opinions?

A Krukenberg tumor is a malignancy of ovary that has spread to other organs of the body. Mortality usually occurs by 2 years with a median survival of 14 months according to earlier studies. The median overall survival of patients with Krukenberg tumor is reportedly 11, 21.5, 31, and 19.5 months for gastric, colorectal, breath, and other origins respectively.
