What Is The Healing Period For Fungal Ear Infection?

I was diagnosed lat week wtih a fungal ear infection. I am on clotrimazole drops. The ear canal is much better but ENT doctor said there is fungus on my eardrum, which is causing me some pain but mostly loss of hearing. It sounds like I am under water or in a tin can. How long do you think this may take to resolve?

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi,
I have gone through your query;and for your kind information complete duration of the fungal infection of the ear about 28 days.

I would like to suggest that you should avoid putting water, oil and ear bud in the ear for faster recovery.

Regards
Dr Hariom Sharma MBBS, MS ENT Gwalior
