Dear user, Hi! diet and exercise are the first two pillars of diabetes management. so it has to be followed religiously. diet in broad sense - avoid sweets, avoid fried food , avoid maida, avoid fruit juices, avoid soft drinks, avoid hard drinks as well.
you must take diet rich in fibres, proteins and low in carb and fat.
regular exercise, walking, jogging, swimming is advised. yoga can be picked up.
diet and exercise will keep things under control definitely but diabetes is a progressive disease , so you might require medicines in the long run. regards!
