Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted your history of Being hypertensive and taking Embetta XR 100 in the morning and Essam 2.5 in night.Of late you have developed the symptoms of tinnitus. Also noted your habit of thin regular walking, exercises and vegetarian lady of 53. Wants to know whether this is due to the effects of the medicines. I don think that the medicines can cause tinnitus. It is possible that the blood pressure is not under control and the pulsating artery is rubbing over the vestibulo-cochlear nerve to cause the tinnitus. At the same time you should have a clinical general check-up, ENT work up, tests of blood and urine and any other tests that may be required. I would also advise you to undergo the MRI of the ears and the brain along with the arteriography. If this is found to be a case, it is worthwhile to have a trial of surgery. Other reasons such as wax in the external canal or fluid in the middle ear cavity, neuritis and such cases should be thought about, investigated for and treated accordingly to get a permanent relief.
