What Is The Cause Of Pain In Rib Cage?

I am experiencing some pains in my ribs. The pain is around the middle of my rib cage. It is a mild to moderate pain that comes and goes. When I drink a cold beverage, the coldness of the fluid irritates the pain and I can feel the fluid moving downward. What could be the cause of this pain? I was electrocuted by a heater 2 or 3 days ago.
Could this be causing a serious issue?

Hi i did review your concern
Such a pain in rib cage can be mostly of musculoskeletal, food pipe related or heart related. I would advice you you to get yourself evaluated. A ECG and a physical examination by a local doctor would help. Morever, if the area is painful to touch then it is mostly musculoskeletal and then you can take Ibuprofen bid for 3-4 days with omeprazole od 3-4 days and the pain would go away. But take this treatment only after ruling a heart condition out by getting an ECG done.
I hope this helps
Wish you a healthy life ahead
