What Is The Cause Of Loose Bowel Movements And Constipation After The Loose Motions?

I think I got salmonella poisoning after eating quite a bit of the peanut butter that was recalled. I had very loose bowel movements for about 10 days, but since then have been quite constipated for about 10 days. Is this normal? I rarely have any digestive problems. Thanks, Wyatt

this is quite normal and it happens to most. what you should understand is that due to diarrhea most people limit their food intake and slowly get used to that decrease food intake, this causes less stool to be produced and hence less frequent visits to the toilet. if your are passing flatus then there is nothing to worry about. Simply add more fibre like husk to your diet and take plenty of fluids. you will be fine!
