What Is The Cause Of Deficiency Of Vitamin B12 And Elevated Total Bilirubin?

I was suffering from deficiency of vitamin b12 (167) and my total bilirubin was elevated at 4.23 but after taking medication with doctor i reduced my total bilirubin level to 1.5.but my sgot level went 189 and sgpt went to 54. what would have been the possible cause ??

Hi and Welcome to HCM,

Your SGPT and SGOT values are abnormal. Are you suffering jaundice? Do you consume alcohol?. Have you done any surgical procedures? Are you taking long term Ranitidine medicine. B12 deficiency can also seen in malnutrition of alcoholsim. Further follow up may be necessary. Please consult gastroenterologist.
