What Is The Cause Of Colored Vaginal Discharge After A Hysterectomy?

I noticed a colored vaginal discharge a week or so ago & thought it was unusual since I rarely have any discharge at all in the last couple of years. Tonight I noticed the discard looked more brown, like old blood. So, after my nightly bath, I inserted my finger in my vagina to see if I could see any color of fluid. I did, and it seed more red, but new blood(menopausal) I am 49, have delivered by c section a large baby girl in '86 and a set of twin boys in '88. About 12 years ago I had a hysterectomy, I still have both ovaries. Just wondering what is going on... and comments?
