Hi, Vinegar is acetic acid and vinegar based drops are used for ear infections to change the environment for bacteria in the ear canal to acidic and this destroys many of these and is especially helpful in pseudomonas. Burning and irritation is very common after the use of these drops as some people do not tolerate these drops. Discontinuing use of these drops is recommended as an option but more diluted form can be tried. 1% or 0.5% drops are generally used. Regards
