What Is The Cause Of And Treatment For Blocked Ears ?

My 9 year old son says it feels like he has water in his ears sometimes. Last night he used 5 qtips and a brown smelly wax came out. Additional info: He had tubes put in his ears about 1 1/2 years ago and had his adenoids removed. Should I take him to the doctor? He said his ears do not hurt. No fever .

dear

welcome to hcm.

the history here suggests that there may be a perforation of the tympanic membrane/ dislodgement of the tubes causing the wax to be developing. It could also be an inflammation of the ear canal. I kindly advice you to take ur son to the consulstant ENT specialist for management.

thank you
