What Is The Cause For Feeling Light Headed And Headaches?

My partner, was sick Monday of this week and has felt light headed since then. Every time she eats she feels queasy, she has also had an headache all week which does become less so with normal paracetamol tablets. Today (Thursday) she has come home from work early because she felt more light headed and could not keep stood, she also says her ears feel they have tin foil crackling in them. Can you please give me some indication of what this could be

Hi,

Symptoms are consistent with some form of viral syndrome which could be GI based. If she is vomiting and not able to hold fluids down then, a trip to the ER is your best bet to prevent dehydration which is the most significant complication that can occur in this situation.

It is not likely that she would have anything more significant than that from what you're describing. Therefore, if she CAN hold fluids down then, continued vigilance, rest (from work for a few days may be helpful as well), and soft foods for the time being are the way to go until this passes.

If she is UNABLE TO hold fluids down then, a trip to an URGENT CARE or ER are reasonable choices to make for more definitive examination and bloodwork to diagnose the problem.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
