Hallow Dear Radha,
You need not be under the
stress of
pregnancy. Termination of pregnancy up to 20 weeks of pregnancy is legal in Bharat (India). Now there are very good medicines approved by WHO also for termination of pregnancy.
Mifepristone and
Misoprostol taken one after the other are very effective medicines for termination of pregnancy up to 9 weeks of pregnancy. However, they are not over the counter medicines and need Obstetrician's prescription and instructions to take them. They should be taken under Obstetrician's observation to avoid the possible side effects,
incomplete abortion leading to heavy bleeding in particular. Of course the incidence of side effects is very low.
I must warn you about one fact before you take these medicines. They have adverse (teratogenic) effect on the baby. Hence, if at all they fail to terminate the pregnancy, then you should not revert your decision to continuation of pregnancy. The baby may be abnormal by then. Hence, if these medicines fail, the abortion has to be completed by surgical evacuation of the
uterus.
And one more unasked advice from me. After terminating this pregnancy, please start using reliable birth control method like condom, birth control pills or Copper-T like
intrauterine device. Repeated abortions is not good for woman's health.
I hope you got the required information and more advice also.
