What Is The Best Medicine For Abortion?

Hello Dr. Nirja, My partner and I had unprotected sex 3-4 times. When I got a pregnancy kit, it tested positive. We do not want a baby as we re not married. Is there a way to avoid the baby. And there are complications in letting our families know unfortunately! I surfed the internet to find out that a dosage of tablets would do it within 9 weeks of pregnancy. Please advise as it is in the early stages. Thanks

Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Abortion can be done both by medical or surgical procedure. For early pregnancy, medical method of abortion is appropriate.
It contains mifepristone and misoprostol to be taken48 hours apart, but it has to be taken under the supervision of a registered medical practitioner.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Wishing you good health.
