What Is Side Effect Of High Dosage Of Humalog KwikPen Injection?
Hi. I accidently injected 30 units of Humalog KwikPen when my prescribed doseage should have been 6 units. I confused my kwik Pens with Lantus Solostar (my dosage is 45 units with that med.). I did not take my usual Lantus med. Am I in trouble-my current suagar reading is 217

As long as your sugar levels are normal, there is no need to worry. Humalog kiwipen contains rapidly acting insulin and hence its effect should wane of in 5-6 hrs. You may continue with your regular dose of lantus.
Take care that this is not repeated in future as occasionally it can be fatal, especially if you do not realize it, as hypoglycemia that develops in sleep can end life.
