What Is Prognosis For Presence Of Necrotic Tissue In Chest Wall?

my mom had ct scan with contrast and they are saying she n may have nacrotic tissue in her chest wall. Is this dangerous to her health? One year ago she had upper and mid lobes removed with infection and cancer and she has been in pain for a year and the doctors are now saying this is where the tissue is dying same spot her cancer/infection was help please

Thanks for your question on HCM.
In my opinion you should get done biopsy from that area first. This will help you in identifying the cause either infection or recurrence of malignancy.
In my opinion it is recurrence of previous lung cancer.
You can also get done PET scan as this is also helpful in detrmining recurrence of malignancy.
So better to consult oncologist first and discuss these things with him.
