What Is Persistent Pain In Ribs Post An Injury Suggestive Of?

i am not sure if i broke or bruised my ribs in a fall a little over a week ago. no breathing issues, no abdominal pain, sneezing is painful. have breathing device and am using. worst is sleeping. but pain is getting worse not better. normal? thank you.

Hi, there are few causes coming in my mind, either this may be bcz of muscular or bone, if you were my patient, i would have advise you to do x ray and ct scan of chest to rule out the serious pathalogy like broken rib( which is less likely after 1 week, and providing negative breathing problem and abdominal pain). once rule out the serious cause, i would advise you to take muscle relaxants( ruling out any liver pathaolgy) with pain killer for few days.. Than you. if you have any concern, feel free to reply.
